Colin’s area of interest is in solving technical, engineering problems at the intersection of data analysis, advanced modeling and simulation, and scientific computing. He studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Systems and Control Engineering, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics.
Over the course of his five years of study, Colin gained experience in sheet metal manufacturing at Barthelmes Manufacturing, automotive product design validation at BorgWarner Morse TEC, and advanced analysis and simulation of optical systems at The European Synchrotron. His interdisciplinary problem solving experience has been a key asset in the analysis and design of various CURA and Aegis systems here at CurAegis Technologies.
Colin is currently the Senior Mathematician of the engineering team and has provided unique solutions to both the CURA and Aegis product development teams. These include: a real time alertness algorithm (where he holds a patent), sleep detection algorithms, hydraulic pump/motor mathematical models, and test data reduction/analysis routines.
